WHAT IS A ZONK BURGER?
Zonk Burger started in 2019 operating out of the back of a 1994 Ford box truck with the aim of serving Fort Worth the best veggie burgers in the city. We offered a small, simple menu comprised of a handful of burger options, made from original recipes using high-quality ingredients, with fries on the side. Instead of incorporating the highly-processed, patented meat alternatives created in Silicon Valley, we used natural ingredients to develop two burger patty styles from beans, grains, fungi, vegetables and seasoning. While we appreciate the developments in vegan food technology that have allowed many to reduce the amount of animal products they consume, we know we cannot rely on anyone else’s proprietary food formulas, the quality and availability of which can change without warning. We're luddites who want to limit the amount of processed food as much as possible, partly for the consistency of our food and partly to maintain complete independence.
Now we're a small, brick-and-mortar neighborhood burger restaurant, but our mission remains the same: great veggie burgers made from high-quality ingredients. In addition to hand-cut, double-fried fries, we can now offer delicious salads, desserts and drinks. We have a small dining room, but a large, inviting patio; come for lunch, happy hour or dinner.
